Our product is of the highest quality.

  • Main contributions to product quality include:
  • Inspection and testing of incoming raw material, 100% checking of consignments.
  • Quality Assurance is thorough on process checks at every stage on the quality parameters, Higher standards of food safety ensured by cutting edge equipment including color sorters and metal detectors, automated packing line and experienced staff.
  • Lastly, full product analysis in accordance with customer requirements before release for sale.
  • We have our own Internal laboratory that is in the process of accreditation to ISO 17025.

Tests carried out include

Microbial (total plate counts, coliforms, E.coli, staphylococcus, Listeria monocytogenes, salmonella and yeast/Moulds both pathogenic and indicator organisms.

Chemical parameters include free fatty acid, peroxide value pH, Acidity and moisture content.

Physical parameters include sizing, colour, texture, taste and appearance.

In addition, we work in close cooperation with accredited laboratories ensuring that our products comply with the EU Regulation on Organic Farming and meet all customer requirements as well as statutory and regulatory requirements. This guarantees highest level of product safety. Adapting to current conditions has made it possible to reduce complaints substantially.

Collaborations

Product testing results from our internal Laboratory consistently compare with results from accredited third-party laboratories such as Galab Laboratories and Eurofins in Germany. We have maintained a highly competent partner in SGS Kenya Laboratories, characterized by a skilled, qualified workforce who specialize in food analysis to perform our product analysis. We have developed a successful collaboration with the Galab laboratory in Hamburg and Eurofins in Germany for many years, among others.

We’ve established a strong network of relationships with farmers around Kenya and Eastern Africa, many of whom we’ve partnered with since opening our doors 12 years ago.

Our trained quality officers visit all small holder farmers in person, walk the fields, train the farmers, audit operations to ensure food safety, and confirm best practices for every phase of the growing process.

Processing

With enough square feet of space furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, we have the capabilities to provide every value-adding service your brand may need. Third party audits and inspections are conducted by SGS to verify our plants are in compliance with current regulations and industry practices.

Transportation/Storage

Our ambient warehousing maintains product freshness and shelf life.
